Northern Kentucky University rolls out Live@edu

The Live@edu news from the Bluegrass State of Kentucky keeps on coming.  A new case study from Northern Kentucky University has just been released, and it speaks of:

  • Savings of U.S.$200,000 annually
  • Expanded storage for easier email communications
  • No more need for students to have backup accounts
  • Stronger collaboration for group projects

There is a good quote around their rationale in there as well from Douglas Wells, Associate Director of Information Technology at NKU.

“We wanted comprehensive support for moving an enterprise service like email to the cloud, and considered the support available through Microsoft to be stronger than what was available through Google,” … “We also wanted a solution that would be familiar to first-year students, and Live@edu was that service, because the State of Kentucky was at the time moving toward bringing it into grades K-12.”

“Just by clicking around, students are finding more ways they can benefit from Live@edu than we even advertised,”

Enjoy!
